Pakistan General Insurance Granted 30-Day Extension for Annual Meeting

Karachi, Pakistan General Insurance Company Limited has received a 30-day extension for holding its annual general meeting (AGM) originally scheduled for 2023. The extension applies to the AGM where the company is to present its annual audited financial statements.

The company submitted an application on March 29, 2024, requesting additional time to organize the AGM and to prepare the annual financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2023. The request was made under sections 132(1) and 223(2) of the Companies Act, 2017.

The competent authority has approved the extension, allowing the company to delay its AGM by up to 30 days. Authorities have instructed the company to adhere strictly to the legal requirements in both letter and spirit in conducting the delayed meeting.
