Pakistan Government Pledges to Modernize Agriculture with Technology and Research

Islamabad, The Federal Minister for National Food Security and Industries and Production, Rana Tanveer Hussain, announced a commitment to modernizing Pakistan’s agricultural sector through research and advanced technology during a visit to the National Agriculture Research Centre (NARC).

According to Press Information Department, Minister Hussain emphasized the critical role of agriculture in Pakistan’s economy and the government’s priority to enhance farmer welfare and agricultural productivity. He detailed plans to improve crop yields through quality seeds and the use of healthy, non-toxic fertilizers, facilitated by modern technological interventions. The minister underscored the collective responsibility of federal and provincial governments, along with research institutions, to drive agricultural development, aiming to increase production per acre and ensure food self-sufficiency.
