Pakistan-Indonesia Conduct Joint Counterterrorism Exercise Elang Strike-II

Islamabad: The Pakistan Army and Indonesian Armed Forces completed the second edition of their joint counterterrorism exercise, Elang Strike-II, today at the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC) in Pabbi. This week-long exercise, which began on September 8, 2024, aims to enhance cooperative defense strategies and share advanced training methodologies between the two nations.

According to Inter Services Public Relations, “The exercise was marked by a closing ceremony attended by General Officer Commanding 17 Division and Colonel Budi Wirman, Defence Attaché of Indonesia. Participants demonstrated high professional standards, reflecting the strong, brotherly ties between the two armies.” The exercise underscored the commitment of Pakistan and Indonesia to collaborate on security challenges and counterterrorism efforts.
