Pakistan Leads Discussion on Future Global Cooperation in New York

Islamabad, In a significant diplomatic engagement, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Munir Akram, chaired a meeting of the Like-Minded Group in New York, focusing on the pivotal negotiations ahead of the upcoming Summit of the Future.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the meeting included the Permanent Representatives of Germany and Namibia, who are co-facilitators of the Summit. Discussions centered on the Pact of the Future, a key document expected to be finalized at the Summit scheduled for September this year.

During the session, members of the Like-Minded Group discussed their shared priorities and reiterated their commitment to continuing constructive participation in the negotiations process. The Pact of the Future is anticipated to set a comprehensive framework for international cooperation on various global challenges.

This leadership role highlights Pakistan’s active involvement in shaping global governance frameworks and underscores its commitment to addressing future international issues through multilateral engagement.
