Pakistan Navy Ships Conduct Strategic Visit to Iran During Deployment

Islamabad: Pakistan Navy ships RASADGAR and AZMAT, accompanied by Pakistan Maritime Security Agency ship DASHT, made a port visit to Bandar Abbas, Iran, during their deployment to the Arabian Gulf.

According to Pakistan Navy, the flotilla was led by Commodore Muhammad Umair, Commander of the 14th Destroyer Squadron. Representatives from the Pakistan Embassy and officials from the host Navy received the ships at the port.

During the visit, the Mission Commander and the Commanding Officers met with Iran’s naval leadership to discuss mutual interests, Navy-to-Navy engagements, and maritime security cooperation. The Mission Commander also extended well-wishes from Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of the Naval Staff, to the people of Iran.

Subsequent to the port visit, the Pakistan Navy and PMSA ships participated in a Passage Exercise with an Iranian Navy ship. This exercise was designed to enhance interoperability and promote shared learning between the two navies through coordinated activities. The visit is anticipated to strengthen diplomatic ties and relations between Pakistan and Iran.
