Pakistan Prioritizes Relations with Portugal, Says President

Lisbon: President Asif Ali Zardari of Pakistan met with President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa of Portugal in Lisbon, where they discussed enhancing bilateral cooperation in several areas. The meeting underscored the importance Pakistan places on its relationship with Portugal, highlighting the countries’ cordial ties.

According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the leaders exchanged views on issues of mutual interest and stressed the need to strengthen cultural and people-to-people connections. President Zardari emphasized that Pakistan values its partnership with Portugal and sees potential for further collaboration.

During the discussions, President Zardari extended an invitation to President de Sousa to visit Pakistan, aiming to cement the goodwill and explore new avenues for cooperation between the two nations.
