Pakistan Reaffirms Support for Libyan Political Process

Pakistan: Pakistan has reiterated its strong support for a Libyan-led and Libyan-owned political process as the only viable pathway to achieving lasting peace, stability and prosperity in Libya. The support was expressed by Pakistan’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN, Usman Jadoon, during a speech at the UN Security Council briefing on the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL).

According to Radio Pakistan, Usman Jadoon expressed hope that recent consultations on electoral arrangements and the recommendations emerging from the Structured Dialogue process would help build consensus, advance institutional reunification, and support national reconciliation.
