Pakistan, Russia Reaffirm to Deepen Energy Cooperation

Moscow: Pakistan’s Minister for Petroleum, Ali Pervaiz Malik, currently visiting Russia, engaged in discussions with representatives from Gazprom, a leading oil and gas company in Russia. The primary focus of these discussions was to enhance bilateral cooperation in the energy sector, particularly through joint ventures involving Pakistan’s Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) and Gazprom International.

According to Radio Pakistan, both parties stressed their commitment to strengthening energy collaboration. Discussions highlighted Gazprom’s extensive expertise in oil and gas exploration, production, and infrastructure development as areas for potential cooperation. The meeting underscored mutual interests in deepening ties within the energy sector, aiming to benefit both nations economically and strategically.
