Pakistan Software Export Board and National ICT R and D Fund launching a new internship programme

Islamabad, September 03, 2012 (PPI-OT): Pakistan Software Export Board in collaboration with National ICT R and D Fund is launching a new internship program titled “National ICT Internship program”. Through this program, PSEB will deploy 800 graduates with 16 or 18 years academic degrees who aim to develop a career in the ICT industry.

While including ICT graduates the program shall also accommodate not more than 25% of students from the non-ICT discipline. ICT and Non-ICT fields includes;

ICT Fields (16 years of education)

4-years Bachelors Degree in ICT Discipline (BCS, BS-IT, Telecom Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Electronic Engineer, B-Tech), Masters degrees in ICT Discipline (MCS, MS-IT, MBA-IT, MS Project Management) or any other relevant ICT Degree.

Non-ICT Fields (12-14 years of education)

Higher Secondary School Certificate, Intermediate, A-Levels, Technical Diplomas equivalent to intermediate, D.Com, Bachelor degree (2-4 years) or equivalent.

Applications are invited from the ICT companies and IT departments of public sector organizations interested in forming partnerships with the “National ICT Internship Program”. The detailed TORs for the selection of ICT companies can be downloaded from http://www.pseb.org.pk.

This will be an on-going process and companies can apply at any time during the life of the project (i.e. 24 months) in multiple batches but not exceeding twenty interns at one time as per their selection criteria and requirement. However, in order to deploy 1st batch of interns in the ICT Industry, detailed proposals must reach undersigned by 24th of September, 2012. PSEB have a right to accept or reject any proposal without assigning any reasons.
