Islamabad: Pakistan and the United States have renewed the Fulbright-HEC Partnership program, setting a target of supporting 66 PhD scholars over a period of five years. The agreement has been signed between the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan and the United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan.
According to Radio Pakistan, the agreement covers Financial Year 2026-27 through Financial Year 2031-32, and encompasses the Fulbright Master’s and PhD Programmes, the Visiting Scholar Program for post-doctoral scholars, the Foreign Language Teaching Assistant Program, and the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program.
The agreement underscores the shared commitment of both countries to academic excellence, human capital development, research, and international educational cooperation. It aims to advance Pak-US educational cooperation, strengthening institutional linkages and expanding opportunities for Pakistani students, scholars, faculty, and professionals.
