Pakistan Values Partnership with EU: President

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has said that Pakistan attaches great importance to its multi-dimensional partnership with the European Union. He was speaking to the outgoing Head of the European Union Delegation to Pakistan, Dr. Riina Kionka, who called on him in Islamabad today (Tuesday).

According to Radio Pakistan, the President emphasized that a strong Pakistan-EU relationship contributes immensely to regional stability and global security. He highlighted that the European Union is one of Pakistan’s largest trade and investment partners.

He mentioned that there is vast potential to further expand development cooperation with the European Union, given Pakistan’s large young population and significant industrial growth prospects. President Asif Ali Zardari congratulated Dr. Riina Kionka on the successful completion of her tenure in Pakistan and lauded her valuable contributions to further strengthening Pakistan-EU relations.
