Karachi, June 12, 2014 (PPI-OT): The total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at $13,456.9 million on 06June2014.The break-up of the foreign reserves position is as under: –
i) Foreign reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan: $ 8,612.9 million
ii) Net foreign reserves held by banks : $ 4,844.0 million
iii) Total liquid foreign reserves : $ 13,456.9 million
During the week ending 06June2014, SBP’s Liquid FX Reserves decreased by $70 million to $8,613 million compared $8,683 million in the previous week. The decrease in the Central Bank reserves is mainly due to external debt servicing of $105 million.
During the week ending 06June2014, Central Bank received inflows of $38 million from multilateral, bilateral, and other official sources.
