PM Seeks Austrian Investment in Pakistan’s Key Sectors

Vienna: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has invited Austrian companies to explore areas of mutual cooperation with their Pakistani counterparts in diverse sectors, including agriculture, food processing, leather, textile, and engineering. He was addressing the Pakistan-Austria Business Forum in Vienna.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister emphasized Austria’s world-class expertise in engineering, renewable energy, environmental technology, and advanced manufacturing as potential catalysts for Pakistan’s growth trajectory. He noted that Austria’s leadership in hydropower, solar technology, biomass, and smart grid solutions aligns perfectly with Pakistan’s ambitions. Furthermore, he extended an invitation to Austrian companies to participate in renewable energy, precision engineering, machinery, and industrial automation.

Shehbaz Sharif highlighted that Pakistan has a significant youth bulge, comprising sixty percent of its population. He stated that Pakistan, through its highly trained workforce equipped with international certifications, can fulfill European countries’ demand for skilled labor.
