Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have called for collective efforts to address the challenges facing Pakistan, with a focus on building a stronger nation by 2025. They extended New Year greetings to Pakistanis and the international community, emphasizing the importance of unity and hard work in overcoming national and global issues.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, President Zardari highlighted the need for unity, discipline, and investment in youth to enable them to reach their potential. He underscored the importance of supporting underprivileged segments to ensure the country’s progress. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Sharif urged the nation to strive collectively for improvement, reflecting on the challenges of the past year, including economic hurdles and a surge in terrorism, while expressing hope for a better future.
Prime Minister Sharif noted that 2024 marked significant economic recovery for Pakistan, citing measures that restored economic stability. He also expressed solidarity with the struggles in Palestine and Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, hoping for successful outcomes in their fight for freedom by 2025. The Prime Minister praised the efforts of Pakistan’s armed forces in maintaining national security amidst ongoing threats.
