President emphasizes to use technology in education sector to increase overall literacy rate in AJK

President Dr. Arif Alvi has emphasized to use technology in education sector in order to increase the overall literacy rate in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

Talking to a delegation of Kashmir Education Foundation in Islamabad today, he said the use of information technology in education sector will not only reduce the cost but it will also be helpful in increasing the number of students while maintaining the quality of education.

Expressing his concerns, the President said around twenty eight million children in the country do not go to school while thousands of new schools are needed to educate these children.

The President was briefed about the Foundation’s role in promoting quality education and literacy in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and rural Punjab.
