Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have reiterated their commitment to eliminating terrorism in Pakistan, following the success of recent military operations against the Fitna al-Khawarij group in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Both leaders praised the security forces for their effectiveness and professionalism in handling threats to national security.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, President Zardari affirmed the government’s determination to persist with military operations against terrorist elements until their complete eradication. He emphasized the national consensus on the issue, noting that the entire country supports its security forces in their anti-terrorism efforts.

Prime Minister Sharif, in his statement, detailed the recent operations, highlighting the elimination of a key ring leader and three other members of the Khawarij through actions exemplifying the bravery and professionalism of the security forces. He echoed the sentiment of national unity in support of the armed forces and underscored the ongoing commitment to combating terrorism until it is fully extinguished from Pakistan.
