Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Applauds Independent Group’s Success in Pakistan Bar Council Elections

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has congratulated the Independent Group on securing a clear majority in the Pakistan Bar Council elections. In a statement, he extended his felicitations to Ahsan Bhoon and Azam Nazeer Tarar for being elected as members of the council and expressed his satisfaction with the group’s majority win across the country.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister highlighted that the trust placed by the legal community in the Independent Group is indicative of the lawyers’ desire for serious and responsible leadership to address their issues and uphold the supremacy of the Constitution and law. He commended Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar for his continuous efforts in resolving the legal community’s challenges.

Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that the Law Minister has been consistently instructed to maintain communication with the lawyers and ensure that their rights are prioritized. He reiterated the government’s commitment to considering the legal community as a crucial pillar of the state and assured that all possible support would be provided to enhance cooperation between the Bar and the Bench.
