Prime Minister telephones Chief Minister Sindh discuss issues relating to holding of free, fair and transparent elections in the country

Islamabad, May 08, 2013 (PPI-OT): Prime Minister Justice (R) Mir Hazar Khan Khoso rang up Chief Minister Sindh Justice (R) Zahid Qurban Alvi and discussed with him issues relating to holding of free, fair and transparent elections in the country.

The Chief Minister apprised the Prime Minister about measures taken by the Provincial government for maintaining cordial and peaceful environment in the province.

The Prime Minister observed that the law and order situation has shown sign of improvements after effective measures taken by the Federal Government in coordination with Provincial authorities. He expressed the confidence that situation will further improve in the coming days.

The Prime Minister assured the Chief Minister Sindh that Federal Government would provide all possible assistance to the Provincial Government in this regard.

The Prime Minister also stressed that extra security measures must be taken to safeguard the life and property of the people in general and the candidates in particular on elections day as well.
