Prime Minister telephones Chief Minister Punjab discuss arrangements made for general elections and maintenance of law and order

Islamabad, May 08, 2013 (PPI-OT): Prime Minister Justice (R) Mir Hazar Khan Khoso telephoned Chief Minister Punjab Mr. Najam Sethi and held discussion over the arrangements made for the general elections and maintenance of law and order.

While talking to Chief Minister Punjab the Prime Minister enquired about the progress of health of Mr. Imran Khan, Chairman PTI. The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction over report of his recovery.

The Prime Minister assured the Chief Minister Punjab that the Federal Government was ready to provide all necessary assistance to the provincial governments for the conduct of free, fair and transparent elections in the country.

Matter relating to increasing coordination among different departments at Federal and Provincial level for smooth conduct of the election was also discussed.

The Chief Minister briefed the Prime Minister on the arrangements made by the Provincial Government particularly those made for the Election Day.
