Provincial Development Working Party of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa approves 10 projects

Peshawar, September 17, 2014 (PPI-OT): The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) with Additional Chief Secretary, Mr. Khalid Pervez, in chair approved 10 projects in its meeting held on 17th September, 2014 in the Planning and Development Department.

While considering a total of 16 projects under ADP 2014-15, the forum approved 10 of them with an estimated cost of Rs.1488.042 million. The meeting was attended by the Administrative Secretaries and Senior Staff of P and D, Finance, Environment, C and W, PHE, LG and RD, E and SE, Higher Education, Health, Industries, Relief and Rehabilitation and Irrigation Departments.

Approval of six projects was deferred due to non-availability of detailed information and supporting documents. The departments were directed to take further time to improve the project documents with proper planning and cost estimation so that the projects could be executed smoothly without any issue/problem. The forum directed that in future the consultants should accompany the department for presenting the detailed design to the forum of PDWP.

The approved projects included 1.Continuation of ongoing ADP schemes for completion in 2014-15, 2.Consultancy for Construction of Girls Student hostel at Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University Sheringel Dir (Upper), 3.Establishment of Govt. Colleges in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Phase-I) SH Estab. of GGDC Kanju Swat (2nd Revised), 4.Provision of Mobile Medical Services in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 5.Establishment of Govt. Colleges in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. (Phase-I) SH Estab. of GGDC Kanju Swat (2nd Revised) 6.Improvement/construction of 8 KM road from Kirai to Mole Sar Tehsil Besham District Shangla 7.Improvement/construction of 10 KM Road from Sasobay to Kormang, Shangla, 8.Impt. of Canal and Patrol Road/Bridges along Pehur Main Canal and its Sub System District Swabi 9.Const. of Flood Protection Structure and Rehabilitation of Drainage System along Badri Nullah, 10.Parthogai Drainage System River Indus and other Small Tributaries in District Swabi and Rehab. 11.Imprt. of Drainage System and construction of Flood Protection Works along Badri nullah, Naranji nullah, Shagai nullah, Bazagi drainage system with their tributaries in Swabi The meeting ended with a vote of thanks. Next PDWP meeting would be arranged after a period of two weeks.
