Peshawar, In response to the rising water levels in the Khyali River, Provincial Labor Minister Fazal Shakoor Khan has toured the Tarnab area of Charsadda to assess the situation and announce a new flood prevention initiative.
According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Minister Khan has pledged significant funds from the provincial budget towards flood relief efforts in the region. He emphasized the necessity of this plan, stating that once completed, it would substantially mitigate the destructive impact of floods.
During his visits, Minister Khan urged residents living near the river to remain vigilant and prepared. He highlighted the province’s vulnerability to flooding and called on the federal government to recognize and support Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s flood prevention needs more effectively.
The minister reassured that with timely measures and heightened awareness, potential financial and human losses due to floods could be significantly curtailed. He emphasized the provincial government’s commitment to initiating the flood prevention plan promptly to safeguard the communities most at risk.
