Punjab maintains supremacy in the 200 metre race and Long jump

Lahore, June 05, 2013 (PPI-OT): Punjab girls and boys bagged first position again in the 200 M race and long jump events of Inter Provincial Athletics continuing here at Punjab stadium today . Javeria Kiran of Punjab grabbed first position completing the distance in 27:48,Afeera Naz of Punjab attained second position covering distance in 28:98 while Habiba Khurshid of Sindh got third position finishing the line in 30:45.In 200 M Boys race:Chand Waseem of Punjab won first position finishing the distance in 24:54.Ishaq of Punjab secured second position with 24:87 while Fata’s Humayon covered the distance in 24:93 to manage third position.

In the Long jump, Javeria Kiran of Punjab again took the honor to win the event,Afeera Naz of Punjab grasped second position whereas Ayesha Mehfooz of Sindh came third.In the Long jump boys event, Hunzala of Punjab won first,Humayon of Punjab got second and Faizan of Khyberpakhtunkhua was third in this event.

The final two events of 100 meters and 400 meters for Inter Provincial U-16 girls and U-14 boys athletics championship will be held on June 06,2013 at 6 AM (Morning) at Punjab stadium Lahore.
