Punjab’s Chief Minister Acts on Assault Case in Layyah Hospital

Lahore, In a prompt response to a distressing incident at DHQ Hospital Layyah, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has ordered an immediate investigation into the alleged rape of a nine-year-old mentally-challenged girl. Sharif has directed law enforcement agencies to rigorously pursue the case, ensuring that the individuals responsible are identified and prosecuted.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Punjab, Chief Minister Sharif has called for a detailed report from the Inspector General of Police on the matter, emphasizing the necessity of a swift and thorough investigation. She stressed the importance of delivering stern justice to those found guilty of this grave offense.

The incident has triggered a sharp response from the provincial government, highlighting the administration’s commitment to addressing such serious crimes and safeguarding the rights and well-being of vulnerable individuals.
