Rain damages beyond expectations: Governor Sindh

Karachi: Sindh Governor, Dr. Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan on Friday said that the recent heavy rains in Sindh had caused damages beyond expectations and it was hard to estimate the same at the moment.

The Sindh Governor was talking to a delegation comprising prominent businessmen at the Governor House here.

Dr Ebad said the business community had always extended help to the people in all times of need.

He expressed hope that the business community would continue its cooperation to help those millions of people who have been forced by the heavy rains to leave their houses and live in camps.

He said there is a need to awaken the spirit which had been shown by the philanthropists to help the affectees on various occasions in the past.

Members of the delegation were S.M. Munir, Siraj Kassem Teli, Aqeel Kareem Dhedhi, Khalid Tawwab, Mian Zahid and Ahmed Chenoy.
