Srinagar, September 08, 2014 (PPI-OT): The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League (JKPFL), Muhammad Farooq Rehmani has expressed grief over the loss of precious lives and property in Pakistan, occupied Kashmir and Azad Jammu and Kashmir due to recent floods.
Muhammad Farooq Rehmani in a statement issued in Islamabad said that the floods had affected thousands of people from occupied Kashmir to Punjab. He added that the people of Srinagar, Kashmir Valley and Jammu were facing the worst floods of the century but the authorities had not taken solid steps to rescue and facilitate the victims.
The JKPFL Chairman urged his party activists in occupied Kashmir to leave no stone unturned in providing assistance to the flood-hit people so that they might not feel alone in the hour of trial.
He said that the floods had also played havoc in Azad Jammu Kashmir and Punjab and hailed the role of Pakistan Army in overcoming the situation. He said that the personnel of Pakistan vArmy were making all-out efforts to rescue the people and shift them to safer places.
