According to Kashmir Media Service, the demonstration was led by Ajit Singh, Chairman of the Non-Gazetted Police Pensioners Welfare Forum. The protesters gathered at a city park, chanting slogans to draw attention to their unresolved demands, which include the implementation of court orders on commuted pension recovery, timely processing of pension documents, and the resolution of delays in the payment of Special Police Officers (SPOs).

The event highlighted the ongoing challenges faced by retired police personnel in the region, underscoring broader concerns about governance and the administration of police welfare in the territory. The protest concluded with the dispersal of participants, leaving their concerns and grievances still pending resolution.
