Lahore, June 11, 2023 (PPI-OT): Under the direction of Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, revolutionary measures are being taken for the health welfare of the police force. In continuation to this welfare branch has issued more than 01 crore 14 lac rupees for treatment of 22 police employees suffering from dangerous diseases. According to the details, a meeting of Punjab Police Medical Financial Assistance was held on June 9, in which Constable Amir Shehzad was given 10 lakh rupees for liver treatment, Driver Constable Mukhtar Ahmed was given 10 lakh rupees for his son’s kidney transplant, Traffic Warden Syed Munir Afzal was given Rs 10 lakh for his wife’s cancer treatment.
Likewise, Inspector Muhammad Afzal’s widow was given Rs 10 lakh for cancer treatment, ASI Mahbub Alam was given Rs 7 lakh for his daughter’s cornea transplant. Moreover, approval was also given to release the remaining amount on the requests of other officials received from different districts. DIG Welfare Punjab Ghazi Muhammad Salahuddin said that on the direction of IG Punjab, priority measures for the health welfare of the Sipah will remain continued. He said that by increasing the income of the resources available to the police through efficient management, more than the previous amount is being spent on the welfare of the soldiers.
