Rs14 per unit relief announced for Punjab’s electricity users

President of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Muhammad Nawaz Sharif says Punjab government will provide relief of fourteen rupees per unit to consumers using up to 500 units of electricity in August and September bills.

Talking to media along with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif in Lahore today, he said forty-five billion rupees have been allocated to provide relief to consumers in this regard.

Nawaz Sharif said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz are focused on providing facilities to the oppressed segments of society.

He said Punjab government has also allocated seven hundred billion rupees for a solar program aimed at providing relief to middle class.
