Saad Edhi Released from Israeli Detention Due to Government Efforts: Ishaq Dar

Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar announced that Saad Edhi, who was aboard the Global Sumud Flotilla, has been released after being detained by Israeli occupation forces. The release occurred due to the concerted efforts of the Government of Pakistan.

According to Radio Pakistan, Ishaq Dar shared on his X handle that Saad Edhi, along with other detained humanitarian workers, has safely arrived in Istanbul. He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the government of Trkiye for ensuring Edhi’s safe return.

Ishaq Dar condemned the detention of humanitarian workers and their treatment by Israeli occupying forces. He emphasized that such actions are unacceptable and reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering support for Palestinian people.
