SBP advises people not to share personal information with fake callers

State Bank of Pakistan has advised people not to share personal information like CNIC, bank account numbers and passwords etc. on fake calls from individuals impersonating as Bank officials. In a statement in Karachi, State Bank asked the public to inform such incidents to law enforcement agencies.

The statement added that State Bank and all commercial and micro finance banks do not seek personal details from account holders on telephone.

The SBP has advised citizens to report details of these calls to SBP helpline at 021-111-727-273 or email at cpd.helpdesk@sbp.org.pk
