Selfless service of ailing humanity real responsibility of Muslims: Mian Iftikhar

Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information, Mian Iftikhar Hussain has said that selfless service of ailing humanity at odd hours was the real and basic responsibility of human being particularly Muslims and the role of boy scouts and girls guides in this connection was of great importance. He added that the government would support all such organizations and individuals engaged in such noble task.

This he stated while addressing a seminar arranged by the girls guides association Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at Peshawar on Wednesday. President of the association Ruhi Zahir Shah and Fitrat Bilour also addressed on the occasion and highlighted the activities of the association in detail. The Information Minister besides hoisting the flag of girls guides, also visited different stalls set up by the girls guides and announced cash amount of Rs. 20,000/- for the stall installer girls guide. The Minister maintained that training of girls guides side by the side the boys scouts in case of any emergency or national disasters was the need of the hour. As that would not only encouraged the youth but also inculcate in them the spirit of progress and discipline, he added. The Minister said, unfortunately in our man dominated society, women folk get less opportunities of progress and they did not get their due status for one or the other reason. He said that there was no difference between man and women as our religion did not believe on gender discrimination rather it provide equal opportunities to all.

Mian Iftikhar continued, in present modern era education of woman was must as compare to the man as one literate woman mean the all literate family, therefore, we should focus on the female education. He added that the depriving of women from education has no logic and such elements who bring hurdles in the way of women education, jihad should be carried out against them.

Paying glowing tributes to Malala Yousafzai, the Peace Award Holder, the Information Minister said she was the symbol of courage and role model for the new generation particularly young girls. Referring to the address of welcome he asked the administration to submit detail of their demands at the earliest so that it could be taken-up it with the Chief Minister for its early resolution.
