Seven Killed, Eight Injured In Van-Truck Collision In Southern Pakistan

At least seven people were killed and eight others injured today, in a collision between a van and a truck, in Thatta district of Pakistan’s southern Sindh province, the rescue service reported.

According to the reports, the accident took place in the morning, on the National Highway near Jhirk area of the city, when the vehicles coming from the opposite direction, on a single-track road, collided with each other.

Upon receiving the information, rescue workers reached the site and shifted the victims to a local hospital, said the rescue service, adding that, some of the patients were later taken to another hospital for further treatment.

Five of the injured were in critical condition, it said.

Reportedly, the ill-fated van was going from Hyderabad City of the province to Thatta.
