Srinagar, November 30, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Political Movement (DPM), Firdous Ahmad Shah, has said that sham elections in the territory are not a substitute to the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination.
Firdous Ahmad Shah addressing various public gatherings in connection with mass awareness campaign in Srinagar and Baramulla areas said that Kashmir was a UN-recognised disputed territory pending resolution for the last over six decades. He said that elections in the territory were meaningless without giving the Kashmiris’ their birthright to self-determination.
Firdous Ahmad Shah said that the countless and unprecedented sacrifices of the Kashmiri people would never be allowed go waste and one day they would definitely get rid of Indian bondage.
