Short and long term objectives and measures being taken to provide secure environment for extensive business activity in Karachi: Director General Rangers

Karachi, October 30, 2014 (PPI-OT): DG Rangers Maj Gen Bilal Akbar visited Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry yesterday to meet the office bearers. During the course of the meeting Zakaria Usman and Shaukat Ahmed Sr. Vice President on behalf of traders and industrialists highlighted the importance of Karachi and its contribution to national exchequer viz a viz security implications. They also voiced their security concerns. DG Rangers assured the members of his full support and said that he will not leave any stone unturned for an exemplary peace and law and order in the city.

He further added that there is no instant solution for the law and order situation but Rangers as a force will enforce the law and order in minimum possible time with the close coordination of other law enforcement agencies. DG Rangers while speaking on the occasion said that he has devised short and long term objectives and measures are being taken to provide secure environment for the extensive business activity in the metropolis.

He further added that visible decline in extortion and kidnapping for ransom cases is a testimony of Rangers resolves to combat this menace. Traders and Industrialists present on the occasion praised Rangers efforts and showed confidence in the force.
