SIFC Bolsters Agricultural Sector with International Partnerships and Investment

Islamabad: The Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) is actively enhancing Pakistan’s agricultural sector by facilitating international exhibitions and fostering significant business partnerships, evidenced by recent successes at the second International Food and Agriculture Exhibition.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the event saw participation from 330 Pakistani exporters who showcased over 500 high-quality products. The exhibition resulted in the signing of more than thirty-six Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) during business-to-business (B2B) meetings, focusing on sectors like rice, processed foods, and various fruits and vegetables. Additionally, agreements worth $35 million in seafood contracts were signed between Pakistan and China, with international companies expressing interest in investing in dairy, potato seeds, and beverages.
