Small and Medium Enterprise Development to continue support in developing women enterpreurship

Lahore, August 31, 2012 (PPI-OT): Raja Basharat, Advisor to PM on Industries visited Women Business Incubation Center (WBIC) developed by the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA). Mr. Yousaf Naseem Khokhar, Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Khurram Khan, GM- Central Suport of SMEDA along with other senior official received him on this occasion.

Taking round of the stalls placed in the festival, Raja Basharat appreciated the exhibiting skills of women enterpreurs and advised SMEDA to continue its support in developing women enterpreurship through WBIC.

CEO SMEDA Mr. Yousaf Naseem Khokhar delivered address welcome to the Chief Guest on this occasion. He told that the current shopping festival had been held to celebrate 5th successful year of WBIC operation.

The basic aim of WBIC is to encourage the women to come into business, he added and disclosed that WBIC Lahore was a flagship centre of its kind and had given impetus to establishing similar centers in other provincial capitals.

The women stall holders applauded the services of WBIC and efforts of SMEDA in the promotion of women entrepreneurship.
