Soomro distributes offer orders among 29 Probation and Parole Officers

Karachi, July 31, 2012 (PPI-OT): Sindh Minister for Law and Prison Muhammad Ayaz Soomro has said that present PPP government attaching top priority to provide jobs to youth on merit basis and members of Sindh Public Services Commission are being increased to ensure merit.

This he said while addressing offer orders distribution ceremony among 29 Probation and Parole officers recommended by SPSC at Sindh Assembly Building Committee Room No. 1, here today.

He said that it is the responsibility of newly appointed parole and Probation officers to provide relief to prisons according to existing law and they shall prove themselves as a good public servant. Ayaz Soomro optimistic that there is no any danger to 27 prisons of Sindh as strict security measures have been taken particularly in four more sensitive prisons including Sukkur, Hyderabad and Karachi Central Prisons and District Prison Malir.

He further said that Nazim system has been expired and we are now working to introduce a new local government act 2012, in which four metropolitan corporations including Karachi, Hyderabad Sukkur and Larkana shall run under the administrative control of Mayor and Deputy Mayor while District councils will continue its functions under the administrative control of Chairman, Vice Chairman, and Councillors simultaneously in this regard. Sindh Assembly Session will be summoned after Eid, he added.

The ceremony was largely attended among others ACS Home Sindh Syed Suhail Akber Shah, Secretary Law Syed Ghulam Nabi Shah, Advocate General Sindh Abul Fatah Malik, Prosecutor General Shahdad Awan, MPAs Haji Anwar Mahar, Ghulam Mujadad Isran, Kalsoom Chandio, Additional Secretary Prison Dr. Jamal-uddin-Jilani and I.G. prison Ghulam Qadir Thebo.
