Sparklist partners with Telenor Pakistan

Lahore, December 21, 2015 (PPI-OT): Sparklist, peer-to-peer classifieds mobile app that safely connects buyers and sellers in the same area, announces partnership with Telenor Pakistan, one of the largest and fastest growing 3G networks in Pakistan.

The collaboration between the two companies enables Telenor Pakistan customers to download and enjoy Sparklist completely for free. In addition, unlike on other downloading platforms, customers can download the app through Telenor App Store without the need for registering with a credit card.

With this partnership, user interaction and deals held inside Sparklist are expected to grow even more, thanks to Telenor Pakistan’s large and growing subscriber base of over 33.6 million and 3G penetration crossing 5.7 million subscriptions.

“Telenor Pakistan’s ambition of bringing Internet for all, providing services across urban and rural areas matches perfectly with the goal of Sparklist to be even more accessible to users across the country. We can offer a product that’s secure, practical and totally free of charges, enabling people to buy and sell in their area, no matter where they are”, says Nalla Karunanithy, founder of Sparklist.

Commenting on the partnership, Irfan Wahab Khan, Deputy CEO and Chief Marketing Officer, Telenor Pakistan said, “As we aim for empowering Pakistani people and ensuring their digital inclusion, partnership with Sparklist is a big step forward. Being a catalyst for the digital revolution that the country is undergoing, it is exciting for Telenor Pakistan to work with technology companies like Sparklist who bring to Pakistan an innovative approach in the mobile app market. We are hopeful that our valued customers can use and benefit from the free classifieds services that the Sparklist app offers.”

The announcement of the strategic partnership comes only six weeks after Sparklist’s launch in Pakistan. The app has been featured among the TOP 5 on the Google Play Store since then, aiming now to be just as successful on the Telenor App Store.
