Larkana: Speaker Sindh Assembly Mr. Nisar Ahmed Khuhro along with Sindh Minister for Law and Prisons Mr. Muhammad Ayaz Soomro visited Central Prison Larkana and Inaugurated Vocational Tailoring Institution for Inmates of Central Prison Larkana here today, speaking on the occasion the Speaker Said that there is need of quick disposal of pending cases but it was informed that an about 2 lac cases are pending in the judiciary due to shortage of judges.
He said that the Present Government is trying its utmost to provide required facilities for inmates in Central Prison, so that they can learn technical knowhow in the prison and after completing their punishment they can become good citizens in the society.
He stress the need of technical training / education in the prisons in a peaceful atmosphere, they speaker announced 20 Sewing Machines and 10 Computers for the Inmates of Central Prison of Larkana. He also recommended to the Prisons Minister for 2 months remission for old prisoners in the jail.
The speaker also announced for the construction of One Additional Barrak from his funds in central jail Larkana, he added that the Sindh Government has started Lyari operation which is our home in order to control the crime and peaceful atmosphere may be provided to citizens of Lyari specially and more efforts are also required to ensure the law and order situation in the province of Sindh.
Speaking on the occasion the Sindh Minister for Law and Prisons Mr. Muhammad Ayaz Soomro has said that all out efforts will be made for the preparation of CNICs for inmates of central jail Larkana, so that no one prisoner may be deprived from the CNIC and he added that the present PPP Government was committed to provide required facilities to the inmates of the prisons in the Province of Sindh, besides the PCO has been established in this jail in order to provided facilities to the inmates they can be able to talk their native relatives in the time of need.
He also said that the inmate who will complete computer course the two months remission in his punishment will be given, besides the inmates who will complete Hifz-Quran and pass BA will also be given remission for 6 months in his punishment, besides the inmate who are on pay roll will be released in due course of time.
The Minister also informed that 8 rooms are being constructed for B Class prisons, besides the Guest House will also be constructed in the Central Prison Larkana and the free advocate will be provided to the poor inmates he added, besides on every Sunday the different games will also be organized.
He said that the work on the construction of the Hospital of the jail is in progress where the expert Doctors will be posted for the treatment of the inmates in the Hospital. On the occasion the President Chamber of Commerce and Industry Khair Muhammad Shaikh has announced two electric water colour for the inmates of Central Prisons Larkana.
Earlier DIG Jail Sukkur/ Larkana Abdul Majeed Siddiqui presented the performance and pointed out the problems of Jails. During the visit PPP leaders included Aftab Naik Muhammad Bhutto, Aslam Shaikh, Aijaz Laghari, Dr. Sakina Gaad party leaders and large number of Workers were present.
