Attack in Poonch Injures Five Indian Soldiers

Jammu, Five Indian army personnel were injured in an attack when unknown assailants opened fire on two military vehicles in the Poonch district of Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir. The incident involved one vehicle from the Indian Air Force and occurred as the vehicles were en route to Sanai Top in the Surankote area.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the attack happened near Shashidhar in the evening. Five soldiers sustained injuries, with two reported to be in critical condition. They have been hospitalized for treatment. Following the attack, additional army and police units were deployed to the area, initiating a comprehensive search and cordon operation to locate and apprehend the perpetrators.
