Steak ‘n Shake Announces International Expansion in Pakistan

SAN ANTONIO, March 27, 2015 / PRNewswire / – Steak ‘n Shake­, the pioneer of the premium burger segment in the restaurant industry, announced today that Steak ‘n Shake will open 15 new locations in Pakistan.

Steak ‘n Shake has signed an exclusive agreement with FM Foods Pvt. Ltd., an affiliate of MJ Holdings, to bring the “better burger” chain to Pakistan. The agreement is part of a continued expansion of Steak ‘n Shake by Biglari into International markets.  MJ Holdings incorporated FM Foods for the Steak ‘n Shake expansion and owns other companies in food service, financial services, and media services.

The brand, famous for its Steakburgers, fresh fries and traditionally hand-dipped Milkshakes (voted #1 by ZAGAT), is a top 5 performer in the “QSR 50 Burger Segment” based on average sales per restaurant, according to the latest QSR Magazine rankings.
