Thousands of Kashmiri mothers await return of their disappeared sons

Srinagar, May 12, 2013 (PPI-OT): When most parts of the world are observing Mothers’ Day, today, thousands of Kashmiri women continue to wait for the return of their sons disappearance in custody of Indian troops in occupied Kashmir, during the past twenty-four years.

A report released by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, on Mothers’ Day, today, said that the continued Indian state terrorism had resulted in the killing of over ninety thousand Kashmiris including children since 1989.

It pointed out that the troops had subjected over eight thousand Kashmiris to custodial disappearance during the period and the mothers of majority of these disappeared people had been looking for the whereabouts of their loved ones for the past several years.
