Three-day mourning observed at Pakistani Embassy Kabul for martyrs of Peshawar incident

Kabul, December 19, 2014 (PPI-OT): In order to express solidarity with the victims of Peshawar terrorist attack, the Embassy of Pakistan in Kabul observed three-day mourning as declared by the Government of Pakistan. The Embassy also arranged a Khatam-e-Quran for all those who lost their lives in this tragic incident after the Juma prayers in Embassy. The occasion was widely attended by the Pakistani community in Kabul.

To share our grief with the bereaved families, a candle light vigil was also organized at the Embassy. A corner was established in the Embassy where the Pakistani and international community placed flowers for the martyred children and school staff of the Peshawar School.

A number of high-ranking Afghan dignitaries including Deputy Chief Executive, Ministers, MPs, political leaders, representatives of the diplomatic Missions and international organizations based in Kabul came to the Embassy to sign the condolence book. The Embassy takes this opportunity to thank all who expressed their condolences on this tragic incident.
