Traders’ body condemns killing, curfew in IOK

Srinagar, May 04, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation (KTMF) has condemned the killing of Bashir Ahmed of Nawa Kadal and continued curfew in the old City. The KTMF President, Muhammad Yasin Khan in a statement issued in Srinagar said that, on one hand, innocent Kashmiris were being killed by Indian troops and, on the other, people were not allowed to express solidarity with the bereaved families.

He said that the authorities’ failure to uphold human rights has equally affected economy and education in the occupied territory, in general, and Srinagar in particular.“Markets are shut, business zero and people in trouble. Whose fault is this?” he asked.
