Family not allowed to offer fateha on Bashir’s grave

Srinagar, May 04, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the family members of youth killed in CRPF firing at Nawal Kadal said they were not allowed by Indian paramilitary troopers and police personnel to offer Fateha for their son at Eidgah Martyrs Graveyard. Farooq Ahmad, a family member of the deceased, Bashir Ahmad Butt in, in a media interview in Srinagar said: “We sought permission from cops deployed in the area to visit Martyrs Graveyard to offer Fateha for Bashir Ahmad Butt but the cops denied them permission to visit Eidgah to offer Fateha for the departed soul.

He said that the tent, which was set up by family, was also removed by Indian forces. “We set up tent in another locality, Arampora after they gave us permission in this regard,” he said, adding the cops beat some people there.
