Waza arrested in Baramulla

Srinagar, May 04, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir People’s League Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza was arrested in Baramulla to prevent him from meeting people as part of election boycott campaign. The JKPL spokesman, Imtiaz Ahmad Reshi in a statement issued in Srinagar, condemned the police action and said that Waza along with several party leaders were shifted to unknown place.

Senior JKPL leaders Including Vice Chairman, Nazir Ahmad Khan, General Secretary Mohammad Ashraf Vaid and Shabbir Ahmad who were accompanying the party chairman were also arrested. “All the arrested leaders have been shifted to unknown police station.” the spokesman said.
