CRPF Personnel Killed and Injured in Manipur Militant Attack

Imphal, Two members of the Indian Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were killed and several injured in an attack by militants in Manipur’s Bishnupur district.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the incident occurred at the Naranseina camp where CRPF personnel, including Sub-Inspector N Sarkar and Head Constable Arup Saini who were killed, had been stationed after election duty. The assault, attributed to Kuki militants, began around 12:30 AM and lasted nearly two hours. Militants fired indiscriminately and hurled bombs, one of which exploded at the CRPF’s 128 battalion outpost.

The violence in the region has escalated tensions, with security forces on high alert following the attack. Local authorities and security experts are calling for increased measures to protect personnel and prevent further incidents.
