India’s Continuous Violation of International Laws in IIOJK

Islamabad, India is persistently violating international laws and conventions in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). The report highlights the ongoing transgressions by the Modi regime, including the revocation of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir, a move that contravenes United Nations resolutions.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the report underscores that India is settling non-Kashmiris in the occupied territory in violation of international agreements, a strategy aimed at erasing the unique identity of Kashmiris. It further states that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led government is actively preventing Kashmiris from exercising their universally-recognized right to self-determination, as enshrined in the UN Charter and relevant resolutions.

India’s refusal to implement UN resolutions on the Kashmir issue is a matter of significant concern, the report notes. It calls for accountability and demands that India be punished for its blatant disregard for international norms and agreements in IIOJK.

The report appeals to the United Nations to take a more active role in resolving the Kashmir dispute, emphasizing that the UN is morally obligated to ensure that its resolutions are upheld. It also urges world powers to stop ignoring the ongoing human rights violations and the plight of the people in IIOJK.

The persistent violation of international laws by India in the occupied territory requires urgent attention and a strong response from the international community to protect the rights of the Kashmiri people.
