Tragic Accident on Srinagar-Jammu Highway Results in Death of 60 Sheep

Srinagar, A severe traffic incident occurred on the Srinagar-Jammu highway in Kulgam, Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, resulting in the death of 60 sheep and injuries to 40 others. The flock was struck by a speeding vehicle, which also injured two individuals associated with the sheep owners.

According to Kashmir Media Service, an official reported that the accident took place near Khudwani on the highway. The official detailed that alongside the sheep casualties, two flock owners sustained injuries and were subsequently hospitalized for treatment. Local police have responded to the incident by registering an FIR against the driver, who has been arrested, with further investigations now underway to address the circumstances of the crash.

The incident has raised concerns about vehicular safety and animal control on major roadways, highlighting the need for stricter enforcement of traffic regulations to prevent such accidents in the future.
