Srinagar, Hindutva RSS and BJP activists reportedly damaged a mosque and attempted to desecrate the Holy Quran and a shrine in Pulwama district in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

According to Kashmir Media Service, RSS/BJP members, with the support of the Indian army, damaged the mosque’s windowpanes and attempted to disrespect the Quran and a shrine near the mosque in the Dadsara-Tral area of the district during the intervening night of Thursday and Friday.

Dadsara-Tral is known to be a stronghold of Jamaat-e-Islami in IIOJK, where several youths have been martyred in the struggle for freedom from Indian occupation.

The Indian army and paramilitary forces have ideological ties to the RSS and BJP, and they are accused of furthering the Sangh Parivar’s anti-Kashmir and anti-Islam agendas in the occupied territory.

A police spokesperson stated that a case has been registered under relevant sections of the law regarding the incident in Dadsara-Tral.
